I met a friend for coffee the other day and as always the conversation was good and the company was excellent, during the normal ebb and flow of talk we brought up the subject of promises, how both of us had made a promise before truly knowing what the cost would be.
After lamenting what had been lost, for one a stroll through heaven and the other a jaunt through hell,we then concluded that the old saying is absolutely right......no matter how good your intentions are be careful about what you promise.
We tend to forget about the cost, whether a promise is kept or broken.

Oh I love it! Yes promises are not meant to be broken unlike rules and laws but we never ponder on the consequences when we are taken in that momemt.
